4th Expansion Question - Guild Wars Forums

Prophecies is Neutral.
Factions is based on Asia.
Nightfall is based on Muslims, Arabs, Africans.
#4 is based on what?

If the 4th expansion isnt based on European history, is it up for discussion?

Prophecies isn't exactly neutral; it largely represents medievil Europe.

Fourth expansion is complete mystery atm.

i would much like an expansion that IS based on medieval europe... b/c i dont see how prophecies does that theme any justice.

Chapter Four = Arctic?

I wouldn't say Prophecies is based off of medieval europe, so much as the standard LoTR/Warcraft/DnD-style Europe, where humans live in medieval kingdoms, though there are also technologically-advanced dwarves and such.

I suppose Ascalon was really the most European part; but there's already a thread in Sardelic for suggesting themes for new campaigns. Don't turn this thread into that.

It would be interesting if one of the campaigns was steampunk....

It wouldn't be surprising if an expansion gave a nod towards the Orrian civilisation with a sub-aquatic theme. The Orrians played a role in Prophecies but certainly there is more to delve into in their culture, and sub-aquatic, including sea-bed colonies, vast areas carved into caverns and the occassional island for some fresh air, would be a beautiful environment I think.
